Students in eighth period journalism are responsible for the production of the high school yearbook. They plan the content of the book, gather the information through research and interviews, take the photos to enhance the coverage, write the copy for the pages, design the pages, edit, proofread and publish their work. The task is broken down into mini-deadlines (usually weekly) requireiing the completion of different elements for the overall product, (e.g., interview notes, story draft, photo selection and captions, revisions, proofreading).
